“Love in Full Color” — The Rainbow Gift That Lit Up Our Story

When I first met Maya, I didn’t think much of it. A friend of a friend, a quick laugh at a party, and a shared taxi home. Nothing life-changing.

But then came the texts. The long calls. The way she remembered the little things I forgot.
It didn’t take long before I realized—she wasn’t just someone. She was my someone.

Loving another woman hasn’t always been easy. We live in a city where people still look twice, sometimes whisper, sometimes worse. So much of what we have has been built quietly—in private moments, held hands in back corners, late-night talks no one else hears.

So when our one-year anniversary came, I wanted to give her something more than a gift.
I wanted to give her a memory she could see—even when the world didn’t.

That’s when I found MoeCraze’s custom acrylic photo lamps.

I chose one shaped like a heart, simple and soft. I uploaded our favorite photo—taken at a rainy train station, where we shared an umbrella and a kiss that felt like home.
Then I engraved the words:

"In a world that looks away, I only see you."

When it arrived, I turned off the lights, plugged it in, and let it glow.

Maya didn’t say a word. She just stood there, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks, her fingers tracing the edges of the lamp like it was something sacred.

"This," she whispered, "this is us."

Since then, it stays by our bed.
It’s more than a light—it’s a quiet rebellion, a soft protest, a warm reminder that love—our love—deserves to be seen.

We’ve faced judgment, silence, even distance. But in that soft golden glow, there’s only us. Only love.
